Introducing Ibiza
Ibiza's super laid-back vibe attracts visitors from all over Europe. In fact it's hard to find such a cosmopolitan blend of people anywhere. Ibiza attracts all types with its outrageous nightlife, beautiful beaches and mild climate.
Through time, the 3 Balearic islands, Mallorca, Ibiza and Menorca, were the subject of conquest by outside empires. As early as the fifth century B.C. the Punic empire controlled the island . Islamic forces came during the eighth century and established control until the collapse of the empire. James I of Aragon gained control over the island in 1229. Just fifty years later James lost his claim to the independent state of Mallorca. Later the islands ceded back to the Aragonese crown.
Nowadays the original Ibiza, a characterful land of villagers, and fisherman still exists. But Ibiza is equally famed for its cool vibe, its clubbing venues, its chilled beach-bars, and its rocking summer parties. Thousands of people descend upon the island to enjoy the beach culture and clubs.

Ibiza Port
When your ship enters the port of Eivissa (or Ibiza Town), you will have a fine view of the magnificent walls of the Dalt Vila, (Old Town). The fortified ramparts were finished in the late 16th century, to protect the town from pirates, and are 75 ft high and 15ft thick. To the right of you sits the new town, the home to one of the largest clubs on the globe, Pacha.
Larger ships will dock at the outer harbor of Botafac. It is about a 5 minute coach ride to Ibiza Old Town. Smaller ships will dock at the Abrigo Dock, adjacent to the cosmopolitan Sa Penya area, just a 3 min walk to the Old Town.
