There are 8 terminals at the Barcelona port, divided into 3 quays.
Adossat Quay
Terminals A, B, C and D are located at the Adossat Quay and are furthest away from the city center. Terminal D also has the name Palacruceros. Coaches run from these terminals to the foot of Las Ramblas.
World Trade Center Terminals N, S
2 terminals are located in the World Trade Center (WTC) quay called North, and South. The East quay gives an overflow facility. From these terminals it is an simple walk to Las Ramblas.
La Rambla
A magnificent boulevard connecting the sea Port to Placa de Catalunya, the center of old Barcelona. It's packed with shops, cafes, flower sellers, street performers, and Boqueria, a charming market. Mid-way along La Rambla lies the Gran Teatre del Liceu, Barcelona's gorgeous opera theater. La Rambla finishes at the Placa de Catalunya, a large square surrounded by shops, cafes and bars.
La Sagrada Familia
Barcelona's iconic church was designed by the celebrated Antonio Gaudi. Work began in 1883, and the intriguing building is yet to be finished. Interesting features are the nativity theme of the facade, the towers decorated with mosaic work, and ornate doors representing faith, hope and charity.
The Museu d'art Contemporani de Barcelona
This bright white glass and concrete building rises above Old Barcelona. The MACBA collection, beginning the early 1950s, consists of many works from the Catalan region, by local artists like Antoni Tapies) as well as art by International names such as Marcel Broodthaers.
Palau Guell
Architect Antoni Gaudi designed Palau Guell, a distinctive late nineteenth century town house.
Barri Gotic
In Barcelona's gothic quarter, the architecture dates back to the thirteenth century. The streets are narrow and winding and crammed with busy life. Don't miss the Museu Picasso, featuring the works of Picasso. Also worth visiting is the Cathedral of Santa Eulalia, a magnificent example of early-European architecture.
Parc Guell
Another Gaudi design, Parc Guell is a pleasant public park. The planting is adventurous and attractive, but the premier attraction is Gaudi's hard landscaping, such asornate steps and bizarre concrete fencing.
